A few days ago I was thinking that I hadn’t talked with my daughter, Emily, for awhile. At least not ‘real’ talking as we had been texting. Part of it was that she had been traveling a lot but that was no excuse. As I was thinking about this I received an e-mail from Emily with this picture. I laughed out loud! Is this cute or what?!
I had just signed up with Skype and set up a webcam so I called her and we had a long chat with the webcam and got to see each other. This was my first webcam experience from my computer and it was so much fun! It was extra special as Emily lives in Denver and we don’t see her enough. Now that I got this ‘tech’ thing figured out I need to get my daughter, Abby, who lives in Houston set up and we’ll be good to go.
It would have been easy after I had received Emily’s e-mail to have thought to myself “I’ll just call her tomorrow.” I’m so glad I didn’t! How often does that happen? We think of a person or we think of something kind we should do for someone and we put it off and then it never gets done.
Two other special people I made time for were my mom and dad. I spoke near where they live last week so I took mom out for a
special coffee and then stopped at the Senior Center to say hi to my dad who was playing his daily game of pool.
Who will you make time for today? Call them right now! Send them a card right now! Don’t wait.
