Day 14: A memory a day
Tonight we went to one of our favorite local restaurants in town, Mama’s Ladas, with Bruce’s sister, Lori. We sat outside and had a great time. The best, though, was when I asked Bruce about memories he had of Lori when she was little as there is a 14 year age difference between them. He smiled and then started telling the cutest stories and Bruce and Lori laughed and laughed. What a beautiful sight.
As I watched them enjoying their memories I started thinking how important good memories are to us. What would we do without them? They can be a wonderful bond that lasts forever.
I started thinking about my parenting and was hoping that I’ve been a part of making wonderful memories for our children. Of course, there are times that I wish I could erase but overall I love thinking back to when they were young and the great times we had together as a family. I’m not talking about big trips to Disneyland as awesome as that is – I’m talking about every day moments that we can look back on and smile.
What memories can we create today?!
