365 Days of Gratitude – Day 360: Is it time for you?

Today I had an appointment for a facial in the afternoon.  I considered cancelling since I was sick yesterday but felt a lot better today so I went. I am so glad I did.  I got to slide between heated blankets, listen to soothing music, and have wonderful Kim care for me for an entire hour. Heavenly!  I’ve realized it’s important to do thing to take care of myself and I am so grateful for people like Kim whose job includes pampering others.

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 244: Welcome to Sioux Falls

On this day in 1988 we moved to Sioux Falls with Chris, Emily, Abby, and Sean who were 8, 6, 5, and 3 years old. We moved from Orange City, IA with a population of around 4,500 and in 1989 Sioux Falls was around 105,000. We thought we had died and gone to Heaven!  Imagine, a Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Target, etc within just a few minutes!  I can’t believe we’ve lived here 23 years.  It doesn’t seem possible.  We love Sioux Falls (no, not the winter weather but it is what it is) and the people.  I am so grateful that God made it happen for us to move here and for the life we’ve had in this city.

What are you grateful for today?
