Self-Care Sanity: Idea #30 – The Gift of Holding Hands

30-handsSometimes the best way to practice self-care is the simplest.

Reach out today and hold someone’s hand.

Yes, it’s that simple.

The most precious hand for me to hold is the hand of my 91-year old mother. Recently she had a very bad fall and has been in the hospital and every day I hold her hand.

We are blessed to still have her with us.

Whose hand will you hold today?

What are you waiting for?

Holding hands with my husband is one of the most amazing things. I can feel how much he loves me through the gentle yet solid connection of our fingers. I totally agree with you on what a gift it is for all. Those in the hospital will so appreciate that touch from those who reach out to them that way. Very special post Elizabeth!

I am so sorry your mama took such a serious fall. It takes so very much courage to grow old. Hugs to you all. Many are sending healing prayers.

Thank you, Lynne. Yes, it takes a lot of courage – had not thought of it that way before.
