Whatever you call it, you need one

I love looking at cards.  I was in a cute boutique in Houston recently and I noticed they had a card rack with great cards. As I was looking through them I found this card which gave me pause.

I read it over and over.

Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family.  Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. Jane Howard (1935-1996)

I like to think I'm real independent and can 'do it alone' but that's not true.  I need my tribe!

Do you have a tribe?  Do you have people in your life that support you and believe in you?

If not, you can make the choice of starting your tribe.  Who do you know that is always positive? Who do you know (even if not very well) who always appears to be upbeat and helping others?  Start connecting with these people.  Ask them out for coffee or lunch and start a relationship.

You can fire people if you need from your existing tribe. I feel life is way too short to hang around people that are not supportive.  I'm not saying that you go up to them and pull the Donald Trump 'you're fired' routine but you can make choices each day of who you want to spend your time with. Choose wisely.  You deserve all the best in this world and the best 'tribe'!

Make a decision in your life today to put your tribe together.

, what are you waiting for?

I want to hear from you!  Let me know what you're going to stop doing at my

blog.

Love & Confidence,

Elizabeth
