"It's My Birthday!"

Message Title
Today is my birthday and I have a great day planned! But every year when my birthday comes I always have the same thought - where did the last year go?!

Last year I decided to start paying more attention every day to the 'small moments' and start enjoying life more.  For the month of July, 2009 I wrote in my blog every day and I wrote about a moment during the day that had special meaning for me. I didn't always realize the meaning at the time but as I would look back on the day I took the time to think about what it meant to me.  I made a commitment to write every day and I did it!

I've decided to do this again this July.  Every night I'm going to look back on the day and share with you what I learned that day.  Trust me - every day is a learning experience!

So, starting tonight I hope you'll check in at my blog "Elizabeth Hagen Inspires" and share my journey with me.  Your comments are appreciated! If you'd like the blog posts sent to your e-mail just click on the pink envelope on the upper right hand corner at my blog.

A blog is basically an online journal.  I hope that you are writing in a journal on a regular basis.  If not, and you don't have a blog, please go out and purchase a beautiful journal and start writing.  The prettier the journal the better!  I look back now at my posts of July, 2009 and realize that I would never have remembered these moments if I hadn't written them down.  And then I become very thankful for my life!
I had what I call a mindshift makeover.  Would you like one?! Follow the steps below:

Mindshift Makeover:

  1. Get a beautiful journal that you just love to hold. It should have blank or lined pages.  I'm serious here!  Don't just go grab some old spiral notebook - treat yourself to something special.
  2. Every day set an appointment with yourself for 5 minutes towrite down in your journal what you are grateful for AND what you have done that day that was a success.  If you have a day that you can't think of a success write down a previous success.  But, trust me, every day you are on this earth is a success.
  3. Make this a glorious habit.  Once you get used to doing this you're going to look forward to this 'gratitude' time each day.
  4. Watch your mindshift start to happen. Your thinking is going to start being more positive and uplifting. And, you're going to be more uplifting to others in your life.
  5. It's impossible to whine when you are being thankful.  If during the day you start to focus on all that is bad grab your journal and start reading.  Your day will change immediately!
  6. Stuck on what to do for marketing some day?  Read about some past successes in your journal and your mind will open up and give you the best ideas.
  7. Share your successes with supportive people in your life and ask them to share with you. A whole new dialogue is going to happen.

Elizabeth's Assignment:

  1. Make a decision to follow these steps. It won't hurt to try!
  2. Take action by doing this every day even if it means climbing out of bed during the night to do it because you forgot!
  3. Stay focused during your 'gratitude' time and don't stop until you've written all that you are thankful for and at least one success

I am very thankful that you take the time each month to ready my newsletter.  I usually include a Confidence Tip of the month and an Organization Tip of the month.  Most of the organizing tips that I give you are taken from my book "Organize with Confidence".  I am very excited to tell you that my book has been totally redesigned and I am thrilled with the results!

In my book I share proven tools to conquer clutter, organize like a pro, and reclaim your life.  My book also includes over 80 pages of organizing forms to help you organize your life at home and work and a Forms CD so you can easily print them out on your computer.

I want to get my book in your hands!  In celebration of my birthday everyone who purchases a copy of the new edition of my book "Organize with Confidence" for $29.95 will receive an audio CD called "How to Organize Your Closet so You Will Get Dressed...Not Stressed" - a $19 value.

On this CD you will find out:
  • How to organize your closet in 6 steps so it will stay organized
  • How to figure out what to keep and what to donate
  • How to organize your closet by categories so you can easily make new outfits
  • How to use the 'blink test' to know that you look fantastic!
My special guest for the last 30 minutes of this teleclass is Jill Swanson, nationally known image consultant.  She will teach you 'what to wear' not 'what not to wear'!  She also shares her Wardrobe Stimulus Plan including the Core Top Ten Pieces everyone should have.

Are you ready to get organized with confidence AND organize your closet the right way? Click here to order the "Organize with Confidence" book and Forms CD and as my gift I will include the "How to Organize Your Closet so You Will Get Dressed...Not Stressed" Audio CD.
