Great Office Organizing Tools

In my June “Extraordinary Results” newsletter I talk about how organizing your garage relates to organizing your office.  You can read it here.

I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite office organizing tools:

1.  The Complete Tickler File System for your Command Center.  You can read here on how to put your Command Center together.

2. In/Out/To File Tray – use the top shelf for papers you haven’t seen yet, the middle tray for items going out of your office, and the bottom tray for items to file later.

3.  Large White Board – to flush out all of your great ideas!

4.  Reward card organizer – collect all of those cards from stores that offer you rewards with a fully-punched card and keep them in one place.

There is a great tool call that you go to on the internet and you can put all of those reward cards on one card. I love mine. Check it out.
I also use the three tier method and today I moved it to a different spot and found a phone number I didn’t remember I had and as a result got a new client–how about that. 🙂

    HI Marilyn,
I’m going to try the keyringthing out – looks great! Way to go on the new client – fantastic!

    Hi Elizabeth,

My husband had a stack of gift certificate and reward cards in his car, but rarely looked through them because he found it to be “too overwhelming”.

I bought him a business card book that displays each card in a plastic sleeve. It was similar to this, but half the size:

Now, when he runs an errand, he can quickly flip through his book and see all of his cards. Simple change, but it made all the difference!

That’s a great idea, thanks, Jodi!
