Last Sunday we took my mom to church and she would not stop telling us how grateful she is for us. We take her on many Sundays but she was not taking this for granted. Seriously, she would not stop!
It’s pretty easy to take so much of what we have in our business and life for granted. It’s pretty easy to think about what we don’t have vs. what we do have. It’s pretty easy to complain.
Shame on us.
A practice I started years ago is to journal every night about my day and then list at least 3 things I’m grateful for that day.
Some days it’s easy and some days it’s harder.
But, there is always something for which to be grateful.
I use an app called Day One which allows me to attach pictures to my journal for that day.
Ending my day with gratitude is the best thing I do every day.
Something very interesting happens when you are thankful. You cannot whine and be thankful at the same time. The thankful thought always wins!
Start today by starting or ending your day by writing down 3 things you are grateful for – and the key is to write them down!
How do you show your gratitude for someone you are thankful for?
