365 Days of Gratitude – Day 81: Friends that are family

Abby has been living in Texas for over 8 years and that is a long time and a long way from us.  During college she became friends with Casey and they have now been roommates in Houston  for over 2 years.  We are so grateful for their friendship, that Casey has become part of our family, and for the type of person Casey is.  She is kind, loving,  supportive, and precious.  Knowing that she is there for Abby helps us a bit with Abby living so far from home.

What are you grateful for today?

I am grateful for time. It seems like when the kids were growing up and I was working, there was no time for anything. Now I have time to be with my husband, to pray for my children, to be a real friend to my friends, etc. We are free now to be a blessing to our family and friends instead of just trying to keep our own boat level. Time to read, time to write, time to enjoy each other. It’s a wonderful blessing!!
