365 Days of Gratitude – Day 364: Just the right size

The flu I cam down with last week has lingered and lingered but today I finally felt like I could eat some real food.  But not too ‘real’.  I suggested to Bruce that we go to Camille’s.They have the best tomato soup and with a 1/2 sandwich it sounded just about right.  In Bruce’s eyes this is not a ‘man’ place to eat but he came along.  I thought it was delicious and I’m grateful for restaurants that have great food and in normal size portions.  To be honest, I’m always glad not to cook!

What are you grateful for today?

Me too! Yesterday we found “OBEE’s.” We are in Florida and wanted a place for a half a sandwich and some really good soup. On our drive down we also came upon a “McAllisters” which was excellent too. Just the right amount of food. And yes, I am glad not be doing the cooking too! (At least a little bit!!)

Glad you are feeling better, Elizabeth!

  3. So happy you are feeling more like yourself!
And I can relate to the cooking thing. After over 23 years of cooking family dinners almost every single night of the week, I told my lovely husband when my youngest left for college a year and a half ago that my cooking days were done, and that the only thing I would make in the kitchen from now on would be coffee! (he’s a much better cook than I am, anyway!)

OBEE’s sounds great. I like your plan, Lisa!
