365 Days of Gratitude – Day 321: She keeps walking

I’m spending the day with my mom today as my dad is at Mayo for tests. She asked if I wanted to go for a walk this afternoon but I definitely was not wearing walking shoes.  I told her that she better not take her walk without me as it wouldn’t be safe but she said she has a new route – it’s around and around the patio, up and down the driveway, and to the barn and back.  She told me she’d be in my sight the entire time! I said, “Ok”.  My mom has always been a walker and I think it’s one of the reasons she’s doing so good at age 88. I am so grateful for my mom’s spirit and her attitude.  I’m also very grateful for my dad’s attitude as he’s been waiting for 3 weeks for these tests at Mayo and he has been so upbeat.  We’ll hear tomorrow what the next step will be for him.

What are you grateful for today?
